A recent graduate from Raymore earned himself some help for his education.

Mathieu Mihalicz is the recipient of the Saskatchewan School Boards Association's 2017 Technical/Trade Program Scholarship.

Mihalicz, who graduated from Raymore School in June, had to write a 500-word essay in addition to demonstrating good character and community leadership.

"I'd like to thank my teachers for helping me out when I needed it most at school," he said. "Most importantly, I'd like to thank my parents for raising me to be the person I am today."

Mihalicz is currently enroled in the Automotive Service Tech program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic.

"Mathieu is very deserving of this recognition and his achievements are a perfect example of why we are so proud of each and every student in our schools," Director of Education Kevin Garinger added.
