Along with a civic election, a school board election is coming in October.

The Horizon School Division has finalized the list of nominees and those elected via acclamation.

In Subdivision 2, which covers Humboldt, Annaheim, Lake Lenore, St. Brieux and Middle Lake, Linda Mattock is the new board member after she was the only one to submit a nomination.

Other subdivisions who have had a member declared already include Viscount/Watrous, where Jennifer Lemky stays on. Jim Hack, Chair of the board, returns in Ituna/Foam Lake.

Back in Subdivision 12 for the Day Star First Nation is Benny Crow-Buffalo. Representing the Muskowekwan First Nation is Albert Pinacie and Sheryl Kayseas will take on the Fishing Lake First Nation.
