The Horizon School Division headquarters was filled with Christmas cheer on Thursday morning.

Horizon School Division held it's 5th Annual Christmas Hamper Assembly. The staff wrapped up gifts and hampers for people of all ages that need a little extra during the Christmas Season.

The assembly is set to benefit 316 students and 122 families within the Horizon School Division. People within the school division can nominate students and families for the hamper give away. The hampers will be handed out before the Christmas break is underway for Horizon School Divison.

"Christmas can be a difficult time for lots of people, so anything we can do to help them and give back, it's just the generosity of everyone that makes this happen," said Marni Sogge, an Executive Assistant of the Horizon School Division.

Sogge stated everyone was hard at work and excited to get the project underway.

"It's kind of like Santa's workshop in here, it's been a number of weeks now of getting it organized, the gifts purchased, and wrapped."
