Horizon School division has been sharing the facility they currently occupy with Olymel for almost 5 years now but that will come to an end next year.

The new facility for the Horizon School Division is along highway 5 heading east, right across from the current building the division occupies. The plan is to get all of the staff members of the school division moved into the building by January.

Olymel takes up the top floor of the current facility while Horizon takes the bottom floor. With both businesses growing there simply just isn't enough room for everyone to get their own office. This problem resulted in Horizon building a new headquarters so they could have space for themselves. Before moving in, the school division will conduct an inspection around mid-Demeber which will determine if the facility is clear to move in to by January.

"All aspects of our team will be together in one sight which makes for much greater efficiency in terms of many different things, We're able to accomplish so much more and support our staff out in the field in a much greater way," said Kevin Garinger, the Director of Education with Horizon School Division.

Horizon is under the current budget which is $5.5 million. The building is estimated to be 18 thousand square feet when completed.
