Student activities and renovations are currently being fundraised for at the Humboldt Public School.

"There's a number of amazing educational opportunities that sometimes cost a little bit extra, and we want to be able to provide those for our students without having to charge them every time," said Principal Clayton Parobec. "This money can go towards the student activities, and also our Leader In Me program that we are running."

Parobec says these activities are very important to have, especially the Leader In Me program.

"In order to fully implement it, there's a variety of training that the staff does, the students can be involved in a number of activities, and there are some costs associated with that. Raising some money allows us to provide the program and the opportunities for the kids to flourish, and be their own leader within the school."

Since the renovations, HPS has not had any outdoor signs to post announcements. Parobec says they hope to install a digital one.

"Depending on how much we raise with this, we potentially could be well on our way to adding one of those message boards at our school. It's just good communication for the community and the parents driving by."

Tickets for the trip of the month lottery are currently available by calling HPS at 306-682-2684, with the first winner being selected in January.
