Humboldt.ca, the website for the City of Humboldt has been recognized for Outstanding Achievement in Web Development.

The international Web Marketing Association(WMA) chose the city's page for its design, simple navigation, interactivity and content.

Community Development Director Jennifer Brooks is pleased to hear they were noticed.

"We're excited to be recognized by the WMA, its an international agency that reviews websites and has awarded Humboldt.ca with an astounding achievement award in web development."

In July of 2014, the City of Humboldt revamped their website to make it more user friendly and up to date. Brooks talks about the improvements they have made.

"We have a brand new look, there was significant navigation that was increased and made easier for folks to use. We included interactive maps, lots of photos, social media access, quick links to popular pages as well as a very clear search function."

There were 96 industry categories in the 2015 WebAwards, if they received a score of 60 or more out of a possible 70 points they received the Outstanding Website award.

The WMA was founded in 1997 to help set a high standard for Internet marketing and development of the best websites on the World Wide Web.
