The Humboldt Collegiate SRC held a car show over the noon hour Thursday.

Around 20 cars were on display, ranging from the newest of new to a vintage 1926 Ford.

HCI SRC member Nathan Tremblay says the car show is all about the kids.

"We don't really raise any funds with this car show, this is really just a service to the students. We like to do this every year, and all of the students love it. Kids in the car show love it, the kids coming to the car show love it."

The SRC hosted the event in the HCI student parking lot, and judges walked around looking at the cars.

Tremblay says the students seem to like the event.

"A lot of teenagers like cars, as most people know. And they like revving their engines, so this just gives a time and a place for them to just show off."

Humboldt car dealerships were also invited to take part in the event.

The Car show is held every year for kids to show off their vehicles.
