Colony Chevrolet GMC Buick and Humboldt Collegiate Institute are hoping for lots of people to test drive Buick vehicles this weekend.

On Saturday, the two sides will team up to host a test drive fundraiser to support school functions, using Buick and GMC vehicles from Colony.

"Buick is trying to put out more useful products right now, and we're trying to demonstrate that," General Manager for Colony Motor Products Kevin Plemel says.

"(Buick) is going to pay $20 per test drive. It's the same as what you've seen out there with other brands doing it and so we're going to try and build the brand for Buick. There's also to be GMC vehicles there. So we're going to have some of our half-tons, we're going to have a GMC Yukon XL and of course, a wide variety of Buick vehicles."

Plemel says that it's an opportunity for you to get cozy with top of the line vehicles and help give back.

"It's basically just an introduction to our product line. Try and get some people experiencing the great vehicles we have on the market right now. And then for doing that, you're going to reward the school with $20, and it's going to be donated on your behalf from Buick."

Proceeds from the event will go towards HCI's Breakfast Program, as well as general operation and activities put on by the school's SRC.

Plemel says that being able to support the school is something important to them.

"We believe in community, and as does Buick. And one way to build a stronger community is through our schools. We're big backers of that and as I'm sure you and everybody else are too it's where we can contribute, we do."

As part of the event, there will be a bouncy castle set up. The HCI Senior Girls Basketball team will be selling coffee and doughnuts and from 11am to 2pm, the Community Travel Club is holding a barbecue with proceeds going toward their 2017 trip to Europe.

The fundraiser runs from 8 AM to 5 PM on Saturday.
