With the change of season, that also means the return of Curling season to the area.

Competitive Leagues and non-competitive leagues have already begun at the Humboldt Curling Club.

Kevin Kahltoff is the Ice Technician at the Humboldt Curling Club.

He talks about the feeling of having Curlers back on the ice.

"It feels great, ready for another season and I can't wait for it to start. We actually had a couple of leagues start last week because we got the ice in a little early, and we took advantage of it."

Several leagues including afternoon seniors league and after school juniors league are starting shortly.

Ice Technician at the Humboldt Curling Club Kevin Kahltoff explains there is still time to play.

"(those who want to play) can just come to the Curling Club here. If you come into the Uniplex, you'll find us real easy. They can just register with our Manager. Bev Kaip is our Manager and she can help anybody out that wants to get on a team yet. There's always teams looking for a player or two."

The 2016-17 season is looking like a busy one for the Curling Club, as they have several leagues ready to go for the year.

But as Ice technician Kevin Kahltoff explains, bonspiels are also going to keep the rink busy as well.

"We've always got quite a few bonspiels with the Men's and the Ladies bonspiels. The mixed is always a very popular thing at the end of the year. Bev has got some various other bonspiels going on this year, and so you'll just have to get on our website to see what's all on there."
