The Humboldt Emergency Services Charity Golf tournament has been put on to raise money for the first responder's facilities in Humboldt.

After 4 years of running the golf tournament, this year was one of the best years with 87 golfers in attendance on the afternoon of September 6th. The Fire Chief of the Humboldt fire department, Mike Kwasnica, explained why there were so many people in attendance.

"This year because of what has been happening in Humboldt. we didn't want to ask for any donations or door prizes, so basically all we did was we went around to businesses and asked for golfers. We said this is going to be a fun day to play some golf and if we break even great, if not that's alright," stated Kwasnica.

It cost $85.00/person to take part in 18 holes of golf. After the golf tournament enjoyed a dinner for 20 dollars.

The amount of money the tournament raised has not been counted yet.
