The annual Festival of Wreaths fundraiser for The Friends of the Museum in Humboldt was another huge success.

This year, the event raised $7500.

Jennifer Hoesgen, museum curator they were very pleased with the festival's 16th year.

"This year is actually the largest we've ever done in terms of donations to the festival as well as funds raised so we are very thankful for the community support."

The funds raised will go towards museum programming in 2016.

The live auction always caps off the festival perfectly said Hoesgen, "because we had so many items on the silent auction its always fun to look through and see how supportive the community is as far as their donations to us and the gallery was full we had a lot of fun people and we have a lot of fun with our auctioneer group who also donate their services and so it's just a really fun and festive community event."

The museum is now getting ready for their open house on December 17th which is open to the public.

They are in the midst of their Yarnbombing event, more details can be found here.
