The Humboldt Public School Childcare Centre has become an award winning childcare facility.

On November 16th in Saskatoon at a awards gala presented by the Saskatchewan Early Childhood Association, HPS Childcare Center won the Outstanding Centre of the Year Award in Saskatchewan.

To be nominated a daycare must exceed expectations in community involvement, child development, quality programming, and much more.  The Humboldt childcare centre was nominated by Virginia Bells, a parent in the local area. After being nominated, the Saskatchewan Early Childhood Association voted the HPS Childcare Center to receive the award.

"It's amazing to know that people have valued all the quality care we've been providing and I also think it's great for the community as it shines more light on what quality care is, why you should choose quality care, and just another great reason to bring people into the community," said Melissa Sand, Executive Director of the Childcare Center in Humboldt.

51 kids each day and over 150 registered children in Humboldt are currently a part of the award-winning childcare center.
