Can by Can, SARCAN is cleaning up beverage containers that would otherwise possibly be thrown into landfills, meanwhile, putting more cash into people's pocket.

SARCAN held their official grand opening on August 22nd, 2018  in a big new space located at 539 13th street in Humboldt, SK

Sydney Smith, The Senior Communications Officer with SARCAN said, 'SARCAN has recycled enough beverage containers in the last 30 years provincially to reduce 1.7 million pounds of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.'

They also encourage everyone to return all types of beverage containers for refunds of the bottle deposit that is charged when purchasing the beverage. 

The grand opening consisted of a ribbon cutting along with multiple presenters in including The Minister of Environment, Dustin Duncan and Amy McNeil The Executive Director at SARC/SARCAN, among others. Cake and refreshments were provided for guests attending the ceremony.

It also landed on the 30th anniversary year of SARCAN as well as the 50th anniversary year of SARC, the parent company.
