Humboldt Theatre Club returned to the stage once again, this time bringing a murder mystery to the Community Gathering Place.

This year's cast and crew performed "Murder at Rundown Abbey" and only featured four returning cast members from the Humboldt Theatre Club's first performance.

Bolt FM's Sarah Miller directed the play.

She talks about the experience of working with an almost completely new crew.

"This year we have four returning cast members from last year's production, so it gives me a bunch of new people to work with, and going through auditions, and allowing new people to come in. It makes it an interesting experience for the fact that I have to work with a bunch of new people and learn what it is that drives them and how to direct them and how to make them the best person they can be up on that stage."

Miller says things are looking bright for the Theatre Club.

"This production has been sold out every night so far. That's up from last year, as we still had some tickets left at the door, but this year has definitely been sold out every single night so far, and it looks to be a very positive upcoming season."

Miller describes what makes these performances important.

"The average arts person in Humboldt may have live music they can go to, or the Gallery they can go to, but there's not a lot of stage presence for people that want to get up on that stage and do some drama or some acting, or even behind the scenes that they want to get into some set stuff, or maybe even just helping with picking a play and stuff like that. With the Theatre Club here in Humboldt it definitely allows people to get involved in what ever avenue they want to get involved in."
