Starting at 2 o clock on Sunday afternoon there will be tours of the tower, games for the kids, speeches from local and provincial dignitaries, as well the chance to climb to the top of the tower.

Co-Chair on the Water Tower Committee Norm Duerr hopes everyone comes out to their celebration of the water tower.

"We're having this big celerbation over at the water tower site. The event starts at 2:00pm we'll have some entertainment and children's games throughout the day."

Duerr  hopes the weather cooperates so people can best enjoy the view.

"We hope people climb the stairs, many of them of course for the first time and if they are up to it get an absolutely awesome view of the city of Humboldt and the surrounding country side from the catwalk outside."

Their will be a number of dignitaries on hand including representatives from members of the Saskatchewan architectural and heritage society.
