Hunters in the local area were able to show off their trophies.

The Humboldt Wildlife Federation held their turkey shoot and antler measuring at Humboldt Motors Body Shop on Saturday from 9 to 5 PM.

Hunters came together to bring in big game antlers for measuring and receive a score. The event was put on to fundraise for the Humboldt Wildlife Federation.

"It's a benefit for our members a lot of the animals in the area have a decent quality and the members that purchase tags can get them measured and in some cases they get entered into record books," said Matthew Schidlowski, President of the Humboldt Wildlife Federation.

Each year an estimated 50 hunters in the area bring in their game to get measured and evaluated by the Humboldt Wildlife Federation.
