Mel Raab was “cheesed off” after he discovered someone had broken into his workshop at Futuristic Industries last month.

“They stole my toolbox, it had some nice stuff that I liked in there, and all our little screws and our drill bits and all that kind of stuff. That, I didn’t care for.”

The break-in happened the night of March 12 or early morning of March 13, and Humboldt RCMP ask the public to contact them with any information.

The culprits took all the shop’s power tools, a welder, a brand new socket set and an air tank that have been collected over the years, Raab said. They also left some graffiti.

Luckily, they left the air tools which are used for the bulk of the work, he said.

It’s the first time the shop has been broken into in the nearly four decades he has worked there, he said.

“It’s just ignorant, stupid. What are they going to get there? A couple tools, and all that stuff, if they get $400 for it at a pawn shop they're lucky.”
