An opportunity to send business and political leaders down into a pool of water saw many people take advantage on Saturday.

Humboldt's annual Jumpstart Day took place, with a charity barbecue as well as the popular dunk tank.

A total of $1,176 was raised over three hours.

Funds stay local to help support kids get into sports by paying for registration fees or equipment needs.

Last year, 98 kids were able to take advantage of the program, with over $15,000 being distributed.
