Once again Sask Energy has teamed up with the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League to raise money for Kidsport chapters across the province.

Their Goals for Kidsport campaign is back again this year as Community Involvement Leader Shannon Doka explains.

"SaskEnergy will give $20 for every home goal scored through out the full season and give it back to the local Kidsport chapters based on the amount of goals their local team scores."

So far this season, 572 goals have been scored, that is up about 90 from the same point last season. The pay out does cap at $20,000. The Broncos have earned $1,460 so far.

As part of the campaign Sask Energy as well as Kidsport volunteers will be on hand selling raffle tickets to raise money for the local chapter at the Broncos' game Wednesday versus Kindersley.

Doka says they have some great prizes to award the winners.

"First prize is going to be an autographed Broncos' jersey, second prize is going to be a home energy efficiency basket and the third prize is put together by the local Kidsport chapter by their supporters in their community. it's all for a great cause."

Last year Humboldt generated more money on their Kidsport night than any other SJHL centre with over $2,900 being raised for local kids become involved in athletics.

Also; the SaskEnergy Volunteer Champion Award will be presented prior to the opening face-off to someone who has best demonstrated an excellence in volunteerism and community service.

Last year Carol Hall and Susan Dobmeier were the recipients of the award.

Face-off is 7:30, call 682-5575 between 10-4 to get tickets or visit humboldtbroncos.com
