Humboldt's Kidsport committee is once again doing another yard waste pick up to raise money for their organization.

The pick up will take place Monday afternoon next week.

Chair Mike Ulriksen is encouraging anybody who has been out cleaning up their yard recently to call them.

"Everyone has been out here this last weekend working away cleaning their yards up, I am sure there is tonnes of people out there that have grass clippings and branches and leaves and stuff like that. Kidsport wants to come pick that up for you."

Call the Uniplex at 682-2597 and give them your information before Sunday, June 5th and then Kidsport board members will take the waste away.

"They will take your payment and they will get your address down and all your information down so we can send out a taxable donation receipt. Basically it's a minimum donation of $20 to Kidsport, you get a donation receipt and all your leaves and grass clippings will ge taken to the dump for you so it's a win, win."

Last year 38 kids were involved in sports thanks to the non-profit organization, that number balloons to 140 since 2013.

Ulriksen stressed the money will stay right here in the region helping the local sports organizations flourish at the same time.

"This gives them the opportunity to have some funding, all the funds that our committee raises here in town stays here. Every penny that we're going to make on this compost pick-up is going to go right back in to putting kids into sports."
