The Humboldt and District Kinette Club will be going higher this weekend as they hold their first ever ladder lift.

From 10am until noon on Saturday, the club will be on location at Humboldt Sobeys collecting pledges for Telemiracle 40.

Along with help from the Humboldt Fire Department and Humboldt Ambulance Service, Humboldt Sobeys and 107.5 Bolt FM, different community members will climb the ambulance ladder one step with every $100 raised.

Kinette member Susan Dunne explained how the event will run.

"We're gonna start our climb at 10:15, so we're gonna add the money up every 15 minutes and then we'll send somebody up the ladder so we just want to see how high the ladder can go."

Dunne said donations of every size are welcomed, "I'm sure everyone is aware with Telemiracle 40, if you donate $140, after Telemiracle is over they send you your yearly teddy bear so the ladder could go very quickly."

Telemiracle Teddy will also be on hand on Saturday at Sobey's.

A pancake breakfast will also take place on February 21st at St. Augustine hall to add to the tally that the Kinettes will take to the Telemiracle stage.

The Kinettes will make their on-air presentation at the telethon on the morning of Sunday, March 6th.
