The life of Watson's Justin Knackstedt continues to be honoured.

The 23 year-old Conservation Officer was killed in May of 2013 while assisting the RCMP at an accident scene on Highway 11 near a new monument of remembrance unveiled on November 6th.

"Justin was an exceptional young man, who was dedicated to serving his province," Cal Schommer, vice-president of the Saskatchewan Association of Conservation Officers said in a news release.

Members of the Saskatchewan Conservation Officers Association, the R-C-M-P, federal wildlife officers and Knackstedt's family took part in the dedication ceremony of a rock cairn and bronze plaque.

Earlier this year, a Saskatoon man was sentenced to 9 1/2 years in prison for causing the death of Knackstedt.
