A Saskatchewan man who pleaded guilty to running an illegal outfitting operation has been handed a lifetime ban on hunting.

Ministry of Environment conservation officers charged 36-year-old Steven Bullock of Langham with multiple offences following an investigation into a possible illegal outfitting company called In The Stix Bear Camp.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources became involved in the investigation in the fall of last year after an American client was provided outfitting services to hunt black bears along the North Saskatchewan River near Langham and fish at Blackstrap Lake.

Bullock was also fined just over 16-thousand dollars after he pleaded guilty in Saskatoon provincial court to seven charges.
