Hospitalized children in the local area who will be unable to trick or treat this Halloween are getting a helping hand from a local youth.

On Saturday, Hannah Mulhern set up a lemonade stand near the entrance of Sobeys, where all proceeds will provide candy to those children.

She also noted she got the idea from a video online, and the money raised will be used to provide candy for kids in the hospital who will be unable to trick or treat this halloween.

"I've always wanted to do a lemonade stand. I thought about what we could do and i saw a video online about a kid who's friend broke his leg. He dressed up in a character so they could get candy for his friend. I thought kids in the hostpital can't go trick or Treating so we are buying candy for them and making candy bags. We're going to our hospital and to RUH and all the extra money is going towards buying them books."

She would like to thank Sobeys for providing the lemonade.
