Graduating students from the Horizon School Division and across Saskatchewan are on the receiving end of Youth Apprenticeship Scholarships.

Thirteen students from Horizon, as well as one from Naicam are each picking up $1,000, thanks to the program.

Each year, teachers and guidance counsellors nominate at least one graduating student who has completed the SYA program and is working towards a career in the trades.

"We are proud of our young people and look forward to their accomplishments in years to come," noted Economy Minister Jeremy Harrison.

The scholarship helps the recipient with tools and tuition.
