There has been a number of wild boar sightings in the RM's of Pleasantdale and Lake Lenore.

Although usually not a threat to humans boars can become agressive if they have piglets to protect.

The Pleasantdale RM staff issued a warning Monday after a number of sightings the areas of NW-30-41-18 W2 and NW 30-40-18 W2.

These properties are near the RM of Lake Lenore border.

Boars are most active at dawn and dusk.

Residents in Saskatchewan can shoot boars without a license but they remind everyone to use proper safety precautions as well as getting permission to hunt on other's property.

If you see a boar on your property the RM would like to know, you can either call 874-5732 or you can call 1-888-935-0000.
