You may be called to bail out a friend from jail on Tuesday.

The Canadian Cancer Society will be set up at the Humboldt Uniplex throughout the day, locking up 'prisoners' to help put cancer behind bars.

Local residents have been nominated to be placed in lock up for a portion of the day and will need to make a plea of support in order to get out.

Among those listed on the Humboldt Jail N' Bail website includes Humboldt Public School Principal Clayton Parobec, Andrew Thomas from RBC, Bonnie Classen of Discovery Ford, and Humboldt Tim Hortons Owner Dan Grywacheski.

Nearly $2,000 has already been raised ahead of the event.
