An appearance was set to be made in Melfort Provincial Court on Tuesday morning by Normand Mark Joseph Lavoie.

Lavoie is charged with three counts of criminal negligence causing death, and one count of criminal negligence causing bodily harm.

On May 3rd, the man was driving his semi when he approached a traffic stop at a construction zone. He failed to stop at the scene and crashed into a vehicle being driven by three teenage boys from Carrot River. Their vehicle then collided with a truck.

The three teens died at the scene of the accident, while a flag person at the traffic stop was airlifted to ambulance.

The 38-year-old's matters were adjourned by his lawyer until October 20th back in Melfort Provincial Court.
