A water main break knocked out water service for the Resort Village of Manitou Beach on Monday.

The village announced the loss of service shortly after 9:00am, with crews working on the break throughout the day.

Service was restored to half of the village by 9:00pm, and a Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory has been issued for those west of John Street in the community.

The water treatment plant bottle fill is up and running for those in need of water, according to the village.
