Football Saskatchewan honoured 18 young boys and girls on Saturday for showcasing some of the top football skills in the province.

Each year, Football Sask hosts a Pass, Punt, and Kick event where those 14 and under can participate in one of the skills and compete at local, regional, and provincial levels.

Foam Lake's Carter McLean was among the winners, as he claimed the title in throwing the football. His best throw was 100 feet, two inches in the 12 and under category.

McLean, along with the other 17 winners were invited to participate in a pre-game ceremony ahead of the Saskatchewan Roughriders final regular season home game against the Edmonton Eskimos.
