Representatives of the City of Humboldt and the Humboldt Broncos were presented with a special plaque at the Saskatchewan Hockey Hall of Fame Induction Gala on July 7.

The plaque is a replica of the actual bricks in the Hall of Fame memorializing the 16 people lost on April 6, says a post on the city's Facebook page.

The Hall acquired the bricks thanks to an anonymous donation.

Some of the Humboldt representatives also visited the Swift Current Bronco Memorial Site honouring the four players that city lost in 1986.

"Our two communities will forever be uniquely linked in both tragedy, the namesake of our hockey teams, and now as a bond through friendship," the Facebook post says.
