The third annual Middle Lake ladies night out will take place this Saturday night.

They've 200 tickets but they still have plenty for sale.

Marie Bautz is one of the multi-plex board members and organizers, she says this year it's a 1950's, 60's and 70's themed event that will involve some games of name that tune.

"They will be playing some songs and you name the tune, there will be a lot of prizes. We've purchased a lot of prizes, it will be eliminated to so many people at the end but a lot of the prizes will be for the one who have the most points."

The funds raised from the event go back into their multi-plex that the village built a few years ago.

Bautz talks about about what they have purchased in the past to make the facility more adaptive.

"We purchased a stage, we did the panels for acoustics, various things that we've purchased for our hall because it's a pretty expensive hall we built so funds got to keep coming in to pay for things."

Tickets are available at Humboldt Scotiabank, Middle Lake village office, Zimmer's Service or from Bautz herself. She can be reached at 231-6255.

Overall she expects their third annual event to a fantastic night.

"Last year we had 260 people which we were very happy," she said Wednesday afternoon. "This year we haven't tallied the whole amount, we're doing that Wednesday night but I know we're over the 200, it will be close to 235-240."

You can hear more from Bautz, she spoke with Bolt FM's Sarah Miller.
