It only happens every three years so this Saturday's Watson Sports Celebrity Dinner and Auction is a hot ticket.

They do have a couple tables left but the event is likely to sell out.

One of the organizers, Myron Knafelc talks about the entertainment that will be provided by a pair of locals led by Canadian Professional Chuckwagon Association driver Kris Molle.

"He's ran in the Calgary Stampede and runner-up for two years in a row now for the Western Chuckwagon Association and of course we have our other celebrity Master of Ceremonies, Jeff Rogstad, another homegrown Watson fellow. He's come to everyone of these that we've had so far and been our MC so that in itself adds a lot of entertainment."

Dinner and the banquet will be followed by a fundraising auction. Knafelc says they have a wide variety of items.

"We have about 22 items for the auction right now, everything from hockey jerseys, to ladies jewelry to golf gift certificates, there's all kinds of things that are just great for anyone who wants to buy something like that."

With most small town events such as this, the funds are raised for a good cause and this is no different as Knafelc explains.

"Anything to do with recreation in the community, it doesn't matter whether it's to do with the skating rink, or the golf course, or the swimming pool, or whatever else is going on in town as far as recreation facilities. The money from the funds are used for anything capital in those particular recreational areas."

As of Thursday morning they did have some tickets available, contact Knafelc, Cindy or Kelly at TC Enterprises if you would like to purchase yours, the number is 287.3636.

Single tickets are $50, a table of eight is $350. The end of the business day Friday is the deadline.
