The Rural Municipalities of Prairie Rose and Morris have joined the growing list of placing their areas under fire bans.

Extremely dry conditions continue to linger across Saskatchewan, prompting the bans, which will be in effect until further notice from each RM.

"We would like to make sure everyone stays safe with these dry conditions," noted Melissa Dieno with the RM of Prairie Rose.

Bans have been put in place for the RM of Kelvington, Manitou & District Regional Park, as well as all provincial parks.

Smoke from the northern wildfires is also returning back down to the area, with a large enough presence to be picked up through scent on Thursday morning.
