A traffic stop has led to multiple drug charges being laid against three individuals in Melfort.

On Sunday, police stopped a vehicle in the city and discovered several individual bags of meth and marijuana.

As a result, 23-year-old Jesse Guest of Melfort, who was driving with a suspended license, and 35-year-old Brandon Fulmes of Pleasantdale were arrested.

Both men are charged with possession of meth for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, trafficking meth, and possession of property obtained by crime.

Fulmes was also charged with possession of cocaine.

Following the traffic stop, police executed a search warrant at Fulmes' home, where a grow-op was discovered.

Police seized 12 marijuana plants at the home.

Carol Fulmes, 57, of Pleasantdale was arrested at the home and charged with production of a controlled substance.

Guest and Brandon Fulmes were due in court on Tuesday, while Carol Fulmes was released from custody and due to appear in court on November 14.


Melfort Man Facing Multiple Charges

Charges have been laid against a 46-year-old man following a search warrant in Melfort.

Robert Sauter is facing 10 charges, including possession of a controlled substance.

  • Resisting arrest
  • Breach of an undertaking (three counts)
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession for a dangerous purpose
  • Possession of a restricted firearm
  • Possession contrary of order (two counts)

On September 28, police in Melfort performed multiple search warrants. Sauter was arrested and had a bail hearing at Melfort Provincial Court on Tuesday.
