Humboldt and area photographers are being invited to take part in a photography workshop Saturday at the Humboldt and District Museum.

Saskatoon Photographer Branimir Gjetvaj will be in the city to teach novice photographers how to advance their photography skills.

The workshop is in a couple different parts as Gjetvaj explained, "I'll talk a little bit about inspiration, why do I take pictures, talk to people why do they take pictures, what are they interested in learning, and why they're interested in taking pictures and sharing images with the world. The second part will be a little more technical. From the questions from people I will focus more on how to take pictures."

The class runs from 1pm to 5pm with a three hour classroom session followed by a one hour field trip around Humboldt.

Gjetvaj said the workshop is open to anyone who simply enjoys taking pictures, "sometime people are afraid, is this workshop actually for me? I'm only a beginner, I don't know too much about photography, I just want to learn how the cameras work and how to take a picture. I think that would be quite appropriate for people to come and they don't have to be intimidated."

He will also focus on exposure, composition, control, use of filters and light.

Gjetvaj is encouraging those in attendance to bring all of their photography questions.
