The Naicam Snowblasters continued their long-standing tradition of holding their snowmobile rally over the weekend.

The rally kicked off with a pancake breakfast at 9 AM followed by riding throughout the day.

Lambert Stumborg is a long time participant in the Snowblasters rally.

He talks about the trail system and how it is needed.

"They need this kind of money to support the trail system. They do a really good job of it and I'm a really huge fan of the trails because if you want to go as a family, it's so easy to go as a family, to go out and know you're going to be safe. If somebody's having a problem, either they're behind you with a broken belt, you know where to find them. You're not going to lose anybody. The trails are so well marked."

Stumborg explains the family tradition of snowmobile riding.

"I started young, I'm pretty much into my 50's now, I was pretty much out of the game. Then I ended up getting my kids into it, and there's no turning back again now. I got them into it and this is a family sport now, especially with the trails."

Stumborg says it's a great time as well as a great cause.

"This club is really supportive of the whole community. When you look around, the volunteer base and things they've got here, they're not just in it for the Snowmobile club, they also support other groups withing the community with these funds. As well, as I've said before, it really supports the whole trail system."

Prizes were available to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place riders, as well as oldest rider, youngest rider, and furthest drive.
