The new Board of Directors for SaskPork has some familiar names.

Elected for the term of 2017-2019 is Jay McGrath, Curt Kowalchuk and Casey Smit.

Smit was elected as Chairman for SaskPork.

"We will continue to build on the foundation set by the previous Board of Directors and capitalize on the growing demand and opportunities for high quality Canadian pork," he said.

SaskPork represents hog farmers in the province, which sends to market over two million hogs on an annual basis.

Smit works for Olymel, while McGrath operates Sinnett Pork Farm. Kowalchuk is with Polar Pork Farms.
