Despite a lack of snow, Fulda held their annual Poker Rally on Saturday.

The rally has been running since at least the 70's, through good conditions and bad.

Floyd Lueke was an organizer for this event.

He describes how it works.

"We sell our poker hands for $10 each or 3 for $20, best poker hand wins, we have a 50% payout at the end of the day."

Lueke says there's always been strong support for the rally.

"I think it's just had a long following, and usually we have great snow conditions, but this year we sort of have nothing left for snow, but we're still hoping for a good turn out."

Lueke explains the money always goes to a great cause.

"We're going to make some money for our community hall. We also make donations to the Humboldt (District) Hospital Foundation on a regular basis. We give money to families in need if they're in a crisis or a bad accident happens, we step up and donate money back to them."
