The City of Humboldt is continuing to work towards the tabling of the 2017 budget.

Monday night council received an overview from department heads that covered their spending that in the end equals a budget of $16.83 million dollars.

Although they haven't agreed upon a tax increase, the number of seven percent was mentioned however all councillors spoke saying that is much too high.

Council will look over the numbers and projects and bring their concerns back to the table at another meeting on March 27th.

April 19th council could vote on it.
