There are hundreds of different pies that can be made such as pumpkin pie, shepherd's pie, apple pie, but on Friday volunteers at the St. Andrew's Anglican Church made turkey pies.

On Friday from 12-2 PM, St. Andrew's Anglican Church was selling turkey pies for $6 with the help of the Anglican church women.

To make a turkey pie one must cube up the turkey meat and make gravy from the turkey. Add some peas, carrots, and potatoes then season the pie. The pastry is then made and the pie filling is put into the pastry. The fundraiser is being put on to raise funds for expenses put towards the upkeep of the church.

"we are going to have some extra expenses with fixing up the windows and the eaves, so we are hoping this is a successful fundraiser that can go on year after year," said Linda Broad, one of the organizers of the fundraiser.

This is only the second time the fundraiser has run with 100 large pies being made this year.
