Humboldt Residents are being asked to help a great cause on Sunday night while enjoying a delicious dinner.

That's when the Prairie Women on Snowmobiles are going to be holding a Steak night fundraiser at the Pioneer Hotel.

Arlene Lockinger is organizing the fundraiser.

She provides more details.

"Sunday night we're having a steak night fundraiser for Prairie Women on Snowmobiles. It's going to be at the Pioneer Hotel, cocktails will be at 5 o'clock, and dinner at 6 o'clock. We'll have raffle prizes, silent auction, 50/50's, lottery tree, and Johnny's Bistro is donating $10 from each ticket to Prairie Women on Snowmobiles."

Lockinger explains what makes this fundraising effort important.

"It's to increase awareness about Breast Cancer and make aware the importance of early detection and to raise money for Breast Cancer research through an annual mission. Also, 100% of all proceeds are going to Breast Cancer research through the Canadian Cancer Society and equipment purchases through the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency, and it all stays in Saskatchewan so it's a very good cause."

Lockinger says there is another chance to support Prairie Women on Snowmobiles.

"I'm having a quilt raffle, I've got tickets available for that, and they're $10. I've had quilts donated from Barb Knittig and also from Haus of Stitches, and I'll be selling them along the way, and that will be my last fundraiser."

Tickets for the steak night are $20 each.

Tckets can be purchased by calling or texting Arlene Lockinger at 231-7303, or by stopping by the Pioneer Hotel.
