Prairie Women on Snowmobiles hosted a household name this past weekend.

Brad Johner and his traveling band of Sons, the Johner Boys, performed at the Uniplex on Saturday night.

Attendance was moderate, with around 150 taking in music from the local artist.

There was also a 50/50, silent auction, as well as a lottery tree raffle.

Arlene Lockinger, a member of PWOS, says that the event turnout was satisfactory.

"We had around 150 people for the concert, I was hoping for a few more but am thankful nonetheless for those who came out and enjoyed the entertainment."

Lockinger added "All proceeds will be going towards the Canadian Cancer Society, for funding towards women's cancer research.

Lockinger would like to give many thanks to the businesses and individuals who contributed to the event.

Without their donations and time, none of this would have been possible.
