A man from the Kawacatose First Nation is facing a list of charges after the Punnichy RCMP investigated a possible drug trafficking operation.

On Tuesday they searched a home on the reserve and recovered a quantity of marijuana, cash, stolen property and firearms.

Three people, two men and a woman were taken into custody from the home but two were released without charges.

43 year-old Kevin Kirk Kehler is facing charges including Trafficking Marijuana, Possess Marijuana for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possess Proceeds of Crime over $5,000, Possess Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000, three counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm and three counts of Unsafe Storage of a Firearm.

He was released by a Justice of the Peace and will appear in court again on Tuesday, June 14th in Punnichy.
