There is a chance that your August long weekend activities could involve navigating around rainfall.

Humboldt and area saw a splash of the wet stuff on Friday morning, and although there isn't definite rain in the forecast for the area, there is a possibility.

"It looks like another area of a low-pressure system will be pushing through Friday into Saturday," explained Environment Canada's John Paul Cragg. "Essentially it will bring more rain, although it doesn't look like a lot right now."

Cragg says that throughout the summer, we often see localized showers, which could lead to one area getting a lot more rain than another a few kilometres down the road.

The system passing through will bring fairly equal amounts, according to Cragg.

"More general rainfall is on the way, which is good news for areas looking pretty parched."

Most precipitation coming in the province on Friday is sitting on the western edge, moving south towards the Swift Current area.
