It may be spring, but that hasn't stopped winter from disappearing.

Eleven new temperature records were set over the Easter weekend as a polar vortex continues to sit over Saskatchewan.

Watrous, Wynyard, and Melfort all experienced new lows, smashing records of nearly 50 years.

Watrous was the coldest of the three, getting down to -32.4, breaking the record of -25.6 from 1969.

In Melfort, the temperature plunged to -31.2, surpassing the 1969 record of -26.7, while in Wynyard, -26.4 became the new record, beating 1975's old record of -24.4.

Assiniboia, Kindersley, Moose Jaw, Rosetown, Weyburn, Meadow Lake, Nipawin, and Prince Albert all saw record-breaking weekends as well.

For Moose Jaw and Prince Albert, it was a chill unlike any other, breaking old records dating back to the 1890's.
