Peter Bergquist, Director of Public Works and Utilities with The City of Humboldt gave some information on what roadworks are currently taking place throughout the week and where to avoid.

The intersection of 10th street and 7th avenue is currently blocked off as work is being done to the road. "Asphalt patching is taking place, there is some asphalt that's falling apart there, so the pavers are getting things touched up so it's a little bit better driving surface," said Bergquist.

"Along with that, we're replacing a water main on 3rd street between 6th Avenue and 7th Avenue. There is a small planned water outage for the day in that area on the south side, just to get the tie-in complete, and then they will make their way forward to the north and that should take about a week, week and a half."

The last order of business he mentioned was on "Peck Road from 4th Ave. to 5th Ave. will be paved this week as well."

Take these public works into consideration when driving in the city.
