Back on April 6th, The community of Humboldt went through the unthinkable after the Humboldt Broncos bus was involved in a collision that injured 13 people and killed 16 others.

As a community, Humboldt came together as one, along with the whole nation and the entire world. Although how does one community deal with a tragedy such as the Humboldt Broncos. Well at the SUMA Mayor's Summer School in Regina Humboldt Mayor Rob Muench spoke to the other mayors, councilors, and Reeves about the accident. Muench said he gave the communities advice on how to deal with the long road ahead after a tragedy such as this.

"So the goal was to share some of the knowledge we learned, some of the things we did right, some of the things we would have done differently over that course of time just to make sure if there was something that we did learn that we would be able to share that with the other municipal leaders in the province in case they have a similar type of tragedy."

Representatives from 30 communities in Saskatchewan to learn what action needs to be taken and when. Leaders also learned about asset management, resolving disputes, handling complaints, and much more to help not only their communities but others as well.
