Residents of Humboldt are invited to take part in a Run to Remember this weekend.

The run will primarily be in Humboldt on Friday, with a supper being held at the Legion on Friday night.

Sherry Hogemann is a Co-Organizer for the Humboldt Run to Remember.

She describes the route the runners will take.

"Everyone's going to meet out at Farm World at 5:45. They're to pick up their registration forms at the Humboldt Legion and Causeway Health. They bring those registration forms filled out, people can walk, they can run, they can ride their bikes, we've got some ready to ride their motorbikes. Whatever they want to do, they can be involved in this run to remember."

Hogemann explains what this run is all about.

"They're running for people with PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) and Wounded Warriors Weekend is all about PTSD and they get people to come from all over the country to this Wounded Warriors Weekend."

The Run will end up in Wynyard tonight, Watson tomorrow, and will pass through Wakaw Saturday and Sunday.

The Humboldt event also includes a supper at the Legion Hall which is open to the public.

Hogemann tells us a few more details on the supper.

"At the Legion we are going to be having a supper there. That's open to the public, tickets are available at the Legion club room, and at Cosway Health. A guest speaker is coming, his name is Joe and he has a service dog. Joe and his wife Mel, and their dog Vixen are going to be there and they're going to be speaking after supper."

The supper starts at 7 o'clock.

This is the first time Humboldt has held the Run to Remember.
