The town of Watson held their 87th Annual Santa Day Festival this past weekend.

On Friday, November 30th and Saturday, December 1st, the Town of Watson was host to various Santa-themed activities, such as sleigh rides, a pancake breakfast, as well as meet-and-greets with the man himself.

The proceeds made from the weekend's events all go back into the fund for the next years Santa Day celebration. Debbie Schwartz, Chair of the Watson Santa Day committee, was pleased with the turnout, as well as the cooperative weather.

"It went really well, we had a lot of people attend, anywhere from 200 to 300. It looked like all the kids had fun as did the parents. The weather was so perfect yet again this year, nobody had to freeze, which was nice."

When asked why Santa Day is such a celebrated holiday in the town of Watson,  Schwartz explained. "It is a focal point for our town, it definitely promotes tourism in Watson." Schwartz added, "It brings a lot of families out to have a fun weekend without having to spend a lot of money."
